Tartalom

This article examines a manuscript documenting a celebration held on April 15, 1834, when the portrait of the esteemed and renowned Bishop of Pécs (Fünfkirchen, Hungary) was hung in the former town hall. On this occasion, three speeches were delivered, each offering high praise for the bishop. This manuscript is considered one of the earliest testimonies to the bishop’s emerging cult. The paper aims to explore the reasons and methods behind the creation of this idealized image of Bishop Szepesy.
